We are pleased to share with you the Refugee Rights Toolkit, an Asylum Access initiative.
We invite you to have a look at this much re-vamped version of an ongoing project at www.refugeerightstoolkit.org.
Currently the Toolkit is being used by refugee rights leaders in India and Indonesia, who are in the process of establishing themselves as legal aid providers and human rights advocates. We are pleased to extend the Toolkit to a wider audience. To learn more about the approach of the Refugee Rights Toolkit, please visit the About the Toolkit section of the online platform.
The Toolkit is primarily aimed at developing the leadership capacity and knowledge base of those establishing refugee rights initiatives in any country. It contains best practices, ‘how-tos’ and advice on both organizational start-up, scaling, operations and management, as well as on programmatic tools for achieving refugee rights through legal services, community legal empowerment, strategic litigation and political advocacy.
At present we are looking for support on editing the Refugee Rights Toolkit content:
We are seeking expert editors with experience in refugee rights and/or NGO programming to review and edit various sections of the Toolkit. We would welcome expressions of interest from both academics and practitioners.
If you are interested and wish to find more out about what this entails, write to firstname.lastname@example.org specifying your area of expertise and your interests.
We hope to ground the Toolkit in the combined expertise of the refugee rights community, and will be recruiting later next year for mentors able to offer a few hours per year of one-on-one guidance to our Toolkit users.
Thank you for your collaboration and we look forward to hearing from you,
