Jamiya Project call for academics for upcoming publication

For the third instalment of the Academics in Exile series, NRV and the Jamiya Project will produce a publication highlighting the role academia can play in providing solutions for some of the problems faced by displaced Syrians. We are looking for contributors to submit academic articles and opinion pieces highlighting how their area of expertise can help those who have been affected by the crisis – either momentarily or in the future. These pieces can broadly address how the author’s academic area of expertise can help provide solutions for Syrians displaced around the world or how their specific focus is already aiming to do exactly that. Submissions will be presented alongside interviews with the authors where theirVIEWS and recommendations will be explored in more detail. We are particularly interested in including expert pieces covering the following areas:

Information Technology
Social Sciences
Teacher Training
Health Science

Opinion pieces can be between 1000-1500 words in length. Academics articles should be between 3500-7000 words in length, in English and using standard Harvard referencing. Please submit your pieces before January 1st 2017
