Call for Papers
Crossing Borders within Philosophy and Across Disciplines
17-18 March, 2017 @ Carleton University
The Philosophy Department is hosting the Ninth Annual Graduate Student Conference focused on exploring borders within Philosophy and across disciplines. The aim is to offer a selection of papers that exhibit the ways in which many philosophers are now working across borders traditionally drawn between areas such as epistemology and ethics/politics and across disciplines such as philosophy and social science or science disciplines such as biology, cognitive science, economics, environmental science, history, law, political science, psychology, and sociology. We welcome papers that explore border crossings in multiple areas in which theory has been challenged and changed and/or applications to issues and problems in the real world have been applied. We are accepting papers from graduate students and undergraduate students.
Deadline for paper submissions is February 6, 2017. Responses can be expected by February 20, 2017. Papers should be no longer than 3000 words or presentable in 20 minutes. A cover ‘page’ is required with the following information: Author’s name, institutional affiliation, contact information, title of the paper and abstract (no contact information on the paper itself).
Submissions and inquiries should be sent to: Amy Keating
