‘Barcelona, Refuge City’ offers financial support to awareness initiatives on the right to asylum

The general grant call for projects, activities and district and city services for 2017 this year includes a new section for projects on the right to asylum and refuge. The ‘Barcelona, refuge City’ plan is offering transparent and public support for the numerous initiatives on awareness, sensitivity and action proposed by citizens, entities and groups in the city.

The aim is to subsidize neighbourhood organisations and the Barcelona entities which work in the sphere of social rights, as well as cultural and community action centred on migration, refuge, human rights, conflicts and peace education. All this, with a view to acting against the forced displacement of people and its causes, as well as backing international protection and refuge.
