Eda Farsakoglu is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology as well as affiliated with the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University, Sweden. In her doctoral project, Eda seeks to explore the migratory experiences of Iranian sexual dissidents who seek temporary asylum and wait for resettlement in Turkey. Her broad areas of interest encompass international migration and refugee studies, feminist methodology, gender and sexuality, as well as a number of sub-topics of political and cultural sociology including the study of social movements, globalization and transnationalization processes, and anti/militarism. Eda holds a MA in Global Studies from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden and a BS in Sociology from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Eda has been an Active member of ESPMI since 2013.
