Shreya Sen is a Doctoral Fellow at the University of Calcutta, India. Her dissertation focuses upon the gendered dimensions of environmental displacement in South Asia. Shreya has previously worked with the India China Institute, The New School (New York) as a Ford Foundation Project Fellow and as a DAAD Visiting Research Fellow at the Faculty of Sociology, University of Bielefeld, Germany. Some of her recent International publications include, “Gender, Displacement and Resistance in South Asia: The Case of Women Uprooted by River Erosion in West Bengal and Bangladesh” (Refugee Watch Online, 2016) and “Understanding India’s Refusal to Accede to the 1951 Refugee Convention: Context and Critique” (Refugee Review, 2015)
