Dr Tola Winjobi is a human rights activist, gender analyst and advocate, a community development consultant, in-depth researcher, and conflict manager. With over 20 years’ development and human rights experience in various organizations, Tola has vast knowledge of democracy, human rights, poverty and SDG profile. His strength lies in mass mobilisation, capacity building, strategic planning, organizational profiling, proposal development, and project management.
Dr Winjobi’s area of interest is on irregular migration as it affects especially youth migrants from West Africa through Maghreb while his other area of interest focuses on gender rights and migration. He strongly believes in a rights-based approach to migration challenges with a workable policy that wears human face for the migrants both in transition country and in country of destination.
A development consultant to UN and some NGOs, Tola is the African Representative on CPDE-Migrant/Diaspora Group; the Southwest Coordinator, Freedom of Information Act Network, Nigeria; member, Amnesty International (UK); and the Convener, Campaign2015+ International.
